Why Bohol & Malapascua

Two world-class reef destinations.

A deliberate pairing of wide-angle reef scenery, biodiversity, macro photography and iconic pelagic encounters.

Bohol brings dramatic reef walls, coral gardens and clear tropical water. Around sites such as Balicasag, hard and soft coral gardens give way to blue-water drop-offs alive with schooling jacks, sardines, trevallies and countless reef fish. Green sea turtles are frequent visitors, while nudibranchs, crustaceans and other small reef life reward those who slow down and look closer.

Malapascua adds another dimension: colorful reefs rich in frogfish, seahorses, pipefish, octopus, mandarinfish and an extraordinary variety of macro life. Early-morning dives at Monad Shoal offer the possibility of seeing thresher sharks rising from deeper water—an encounter that has made the island one of the world’s most celebrated diving destinations.
